A White Walker is killed

The season starts with very intense scene. Sam was left in the wilderness and he sees a dead man with his head off, holding the head in his hands. A White Walker approaches to Sam and you expect to see how Sam will be brutally killed by the Walker. At the same moment Ghost comes out of nowhere and attacks the Walker. Suddenly, the Walker is set on fire and we see the men of the Watch approaching Sam. 

The mutiny at Craster’s place

The men of the Night’s Watch go back to Craster’s place and they start a bloody mutiny and kill Craster. This is also a sad scene since the men kill their Lord Commander as well.

The massacre in Astapor

Game Of Thrones Season 3 Episode 1

Very brutal scene is presented with the massacre in Astapor when Daenerys gets the army of the Unsullied. She gives them order to kill every master in Astapor. She also gave an order to Drogon to burn master Kraznys.

Jaime’s hand is cut off

You might think that he deserved it, but still it’s very sad and brutal scene when Jaime’s hand is cut off. He was only trying to save Brienne from being raped by their capturers.

Stannis’ babies

A very gruesome scene is presented in this season with Stannis’ babies. We see three dead babies in jars and learn that Stannis had three sons who died. The question why and how they are in the jars remains unanswered.

Beric’s resurrection

The second trial by combat in ‘Game of Thrones’ is between Beric  Dondarrion and Sandor Clegane aka The Hound. This is a very interesting battle scene and even more interesting is when we see how Beric comes to life again. 

Ross’ death

Joffrey’s sick thirst to torture people results with Ross’s death. We see her hanged in Joffrey’s room. She had been tortured and killed by Joffrey with his crossbow.

Theon’s mutilation

Well, he deserved to be tortured after what he did to the Starks, yet this scene is very disturbing since Ramsay cuts off Theon’s most precious body part.

Sam kills a White Walker

For the first time in ‘Game of Thrones’ we see how a Walker can be killed with dragonglass. The intensity of the scene makes it even more interesting to see it. A Walker comes to take Gilly’s baby and Sam desperately tries to stop the Walker and believe it or not, he kills the Walker by accident.

The Red Wedding

Finllay, the most brutal and the saddest scene in ‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 is the Red Wedding. The betrayal of Frey and Roose Bolton results with killing the entire Stark family and all of their soldiers, starting with the murder of Robb’s wife. Lady Talisa is stabbed in the belly, Robb is hit with an arrow and killed by Roose and Catelyn’s throat is cut. The whole place is filled with blood and dead bodies. At the end we see how the direwolf’s head is attached to Robb’s body. The peak of brutality is achieved.
