Game of thrones review season 3 episode 3- This episode begins with Hoster Tully’s funeral and introduces us with new characters who will later on be more involved in the story- Lord Edmure and The Blackfish.
After the funeral Robb quarrels with Lord Edmure about his own strategic decision that wasn’t according to Robb’s instructions.
At the Small Council meeting, Cersei and Tyrion arrive later than the others. Everyone’s been sitting and two empty chairs are waiting for them. Cersei pulls her chair next to her father. Tyrion copies her action, but he places the chair opposite Tywin, making himself equal to his father at the table.
The Council talks about Jaime, but no one has information where he is. Baelish has been given a title and also he is instructed to go to the Vale and marry Lady Arryn so that he can take control over the Vale and turn her against her family, against the Starks.
Brienne and Jaime travel as prisoners now and they quarrel over whose fault was for their capture. Jaime gives her a fair warning about what will happen once they camp the night. She will be raped and Jaime tells her not to fight them in order to stay alive.
The Brotherhood prepares to leave and Arya asks Hot Pie why he is not ready. He will stay here to cook and in return he will have shelter and food. Arya and Gendry say goodbye and leave.
Mance tells Tormund to climb the Wall with 20 of his best men and to take Jon with them because he knows the weakest points of the Wall. Mance will give the men a signal when to attack-they will see the biggest fire.
Back at Craster, the survived men of the watch asks Craster to give them shelter. He is suspicious at first, but let the men in and quarrels with Lord Commander. Craster continues to offend everybody, mostly Sam about his weight.
Sam exits the room and sees Gilly giving birth to a baby boy. We all know what that means, right? You do remember that in the previous season 2 of Game of thrones Jon saw Craster leaving the baby to the creatures in the night, don’t you?
Theon has been rescued by the boy who promised he will help him escape. He gives Theon a horse and gives him instruction. Sadly, after a while Theon has been recaptured and overthrown off the horse. But then, an archer kill’s all men and we see the boy who comes to rescue Theon again.
Ser Jorah and Ser Barristan give Daenerys different theories and advise about her decision to buy the army of slave soldier. Daenerys meets with master Kraznys and makes the deal to buy the 8000 Unsullied.
The master laughs at her, telling that she cannot afford them but she agrees to pay with the biggest dragon she has. Wait, what? The decision also shocked Jorah and Barristan and they question her decision in front of the masters.
After the deal, Daenerys asks for the translator Missandei as a gift and when she’s alone with Jorah and Barristan she threatens them never to question her decisions in front of strangers.
Daenerys asks Missandei the truth about the Unsullied, she wants to know if master Kraznys was telling lies. Missandei assures Daenerys that once she owns the Unsullied they will obey her without question.
Once they have made camp, Bolton’s men try to rape Bienne and so they take her in the woods. Jaime tries to save her, making statements about her value. She’s a daughter to the lords of the Isles of sapphires and he will pay his daughters’ weight in sapphires in order to get her alive and safe.
The men release Brienne and Jaime makes deal with them, telling that his father will also pay for his safety. Unfortunately for Jaime, his magic words don’t work now and he’s been mutilated. The men seize him and so his right arm has been cut off.
