In Yunkai, Ser Jorah and Ser Barristan present the news about the warriors they find out are fighting for the masters. They are called The Second Sons and fight for gold. Daenerys wishes to meet the captains of The Second Sons and make a deal with them.
As requested, three captains meet with Daenerys and talk about the upcoming war between them. The main captain is very rude and impolite towards Daenerys, Missandei and everybody else in the tent.
Daenerys tries to convince the captains to fight for her because she will pay more than the masters will. The captains leave Daenerys tent, telling her there will be a fight, not accepting the terms.
In their camp, the captains of The Second Sons make plans how to deal with the dragon queen. They will choose one of them to enter secretly into Daenerys camp, slit her throat and be done with her. Daario Naharis has the honor to do the task.
Later in the night, while Daenerys is having a bath, Missandei helps her practice her Dothraki. Suddenly, Daario enters and puts a knife on Missandei throat. He tells both of them not to scream and wishes to speak with Daenerys.
Daario tells Daenerys that he was sent to kill her but he doesn’t want to. He killed the two other captains because he wants to join her army. The Second Sons will follow her now since Daario is their leader and he pledges his knife, his life and his heart to Daenerys.
After the long journey, Melissande comes back to Stannis and introduces him to Gendry, his nephew. Stannis is not entirely satisfied because Gendry is half high born and half low born, but Melissande tells Staniss the boy will serve just fine for the purpose.
Stannis visits Ser Davos in the dungeon and tells him the news about Gendry. Somehow Stannis is uncertain whether he wishes to continue this demonic rituals and maybe that is the reason he tells Davos. Maybe he wants to be stopped by someone who thinks clearly, and that’s Davos of course.
What use will Gendry be? She takes him to a chamber, gives him wine and tries to make love with him. So it’s clear now, she will get another demonic son from this boy and send the shadow to kill someone. We’ve already seen this in season 2 of Game of thrones.
But, wait, what is she doing with the leeches? In the middle of the act she ties him to the bed and puts three leeches on his body. Later Stannis enters the room with Ser Davos who will witness the demonstration.
Stannis takes the leeches and throws them in the fire, telling the names of Robb Stark, Baelon Greyjoy and Joffrey Baratheon.
Sansa Stark prepares for the wedding. A wedding that nor the bride or the groom are happy about but still they must do. Tyrion goes to take Sansa and gives her compliments about her looks. They exit the room to go to the wedding.
Cersei and Margaery wait in the sept for the wedding to occur. Margaery tells Cersei that they will be sisters very soon. Cersei’s reply to that is very interesting to note, since it’s connected with events that will occur much later in Game of thrones.
Cersei tells Margaery the story behind the song “Rains of Castamere”. The house Rain of Castamere was the second wealthiest house in all of the seven kingdoms. But once you are second, you wish to climb that final ladder and be on the top where only the sky is above and nothing more.
Finally, house Rain turned against house Lannister wishing to climb that final ladder. But house Lannister slaughtered everybody of that house and now they don’t exist, not a soul to hear the song. At the end of the story, Cersei threatens to strangle Margaery in her sleep if she calls Cersei sister again.
And now, the wedding. Joffrey walks Sansa on the isle and he takes Tyrions climbing chair, making jokes with him. Later on the wedding, Joffrey plays cruel jokes about Tyrions bedding ceremony.
Being drunk, Tyrion threatens Joffrey who immediately gets angry, but luckily Tywin calms the situation down. Tyrion and Sansa go in their chamber and Sansa prepares for consuming the marriage. Tyrion doesn’t want to force Sansa do something she doesn’t like so they don’t consume the marriage.
Sam and Gilly wander in the woods and they find an abandoned cottage so they decide to spend the night there. Sam suggests Gilly to give the baby a name because it would be easier to refer to him that way.
They light a fire to get warm and Sam teaches her about names, about family names and stuff like that. Suddenly, they hear a flock of crows near the cottage. Sam goes out to see what is happening and Gilly goes with the baby to see also.
The crows went mute and a dark creature is approaching the cottage. It’s a White Walker and it’s coming for the baby. Sam tries to fight the White Walker but is overpowered and the Walker goes after the baby.
Desperate to save them, Sam goes after the Walker again and this time he stabs it with the dragonglass dagger so the White Walker breaks into pieces and becomes nothing. Sam takes Gilly and the baby and they run in the dark forest.
