Game of thrones review season 3 episode 9-Robb arrives at the Twins and makes an apology to the Frey daughters. After the apology, Walder Frey offends Robb by talking about his wife but shortly after stops it and tells Robb to feel comfortable in his castle and that the wedding ceremony will occur that night.
A successful plan of taking over the city of Yunkai. Daario tells the best strategy because he knows the city but the others don’t trust him. Grey Worm, the commander of the Unsullied tells Daenerys he trusts the men and that they should take his advice and follow him.
Later in the night, Ser Jorah, Daario and Grey Worm enter the city and fight. After the fight they return to their queen and Daario gives her a cloak, telling her that the city is hers now. The slave soldiers didn’t believe at first but shortly after they put their weapons down and surrender.
The Hound and Arya approach the Twins. They find a man with a wagon that is going to deliver meat for the wedding. The Hound wants to kill the man but Arya stops him so they leave the man alive but take his wagon to infiltrate the castle during the wedding.
Bran and his companions arrive in a place called the Gift. They take shelter in the tower to hide from the storm that is coming. While they sit inside, they hear voices outside and look out the window. They are wildlings. Hodor gets scared from the storm and shouts. Bran tries to calm Hodor down and enters his mind so that he can be calmed down.
And guess who is outside? It’s Jon Snow and the wildlings. They found a man from the watch who tends the horses for the Watch. The wildling took the horses but the man escaped so they were chasing him.
Finally they got to the man and now the wildlings make Jon kill him to prove himself he is one of them. Jon is unable to do it so he confronts the wildlings and fights them. Ygritte wants to help Jon but Tormund stops her, telling her Jon’s still one of the “crows”.
Bran manages to warg in one of the diredwolfs and sees Jon outside. The direwolf helps Jon escape while Ygritte looks at him with disappointment and anger. Bran tells Osha to go back with Rickon and he will continue his journey north with Hodor, Jojen and Meera.
Lord Edmure meets his wife at the wedding and he is very surprised wuth her beauty. The wedding has started and everyone is celebrating. Lord Bolton tells he has also married one of Frey’s granddaughters and now he’s rich since Walder paid him her weight in silver.
As it is ceremony in Game of thrones, the wedding needs a bedding and so Lord Edmure leaves with his wife to consume their marriage. As soon as they leave, the doors close and “Rains of Castamere” starts playing. Catelyn senses that something is wrong and then Walder addresses Robb.
He tells that he owes Robb and his wife a wedding gift. Catelyn sees Bolton’s arm and notices a Lannisters garments on it. She shouts for Robb but it’s already too late- his wife’s stomach is stabbed several times. Robb is hit by an arrow and so is Catelyn.
During the slaughter, Arya and the Hound arrive at the gates but very quickly they realize what is happening. Arya wants to run to her family but the Hound takes her, telling her it’s too late and they leave the place.
In the final moments Catelyn asks Walder to release Robb and that they will not take vengeance for what has happened there. But Walder tells Catelyn their promises mean nothing, they once broke a promise they made and now they are paying the price.
Finally, Lord Bolton gives the final stroke- he stabs Robb, telling him that the Lannisters send their regards. Catelyn screams in agony and her throat is cut.
Well done Robb, Catelyn warned you not to marry that girl, to respect your promises. But you didn’t listen, did you? You thought you were the king and you can do as you like. Proud men pay the highest price and so did you.
