The royal wedding begins, Joffrey and Margaery are wed and now the celebration begins. Lady Olenna tells Sansa she is sorry about her brother and mother, telling her that it’s horrible to kill a man at a wedding and only a monster would do such thing-now this is a very ironic statement. Why? You’ll see in the following scenes.
Margaery makes a speech and tells the people that the leftovers from the feast will be given to the poorest, thanking the common people for participating in the war. Insulted by this decision of Margaery, Cersei instructs Meaester Pycelle to tell the people from the kitchen to give the leftovers to their dogs.
Joffrey makes a toast after some while and invites the guests to visit his version of a play called “The War of the Five Kings”. And so, a group of dwarf actors arrive under his order and they play a play of the war. It’s a very cruel and sick joke, some of the people are amused but most of them feel disgust.
You sick bastard! Sansa has sadness but also despise in her eyes, Prince Oberyn and Lady Olenna are also watching with disgust while Ser Loras leaves the table very shortly after the it started. Tyrion tells Bron to pay the actors and find another way to thank the king.
After the play, Joffrey wants to mock Tyrion but Tyrion offends the king back. Insulted by his uncle, Joffrey pours wine all over Tyrion’s head in front of everybody and tells Tyrion to bring him wine so that he can make a toast.
As the feast continues, Joffrey continues mistreating Tyrion in front of the audience that become mute while watching the king’s behaviour. Joffrey orders Tyrion to kneel before him while he gives the king his glass of wine. Margaery saves the situation saying the pie is coming.
Joffrey eats the pie and orders Tyrion to bring him more wine the same moment Tyrion and Sansa prepared to leave the wedding. Tyrion brings Joffrey the wine and so he drinks and starts choking. Joffrey falls down and dies with his hand pointing to Tyrion.
Consumed with anger, Cersei orders for Tyrion to be arrested, while Sansa uses this situation to flee with the fool whose life she saved. Now isn’t this the moment we have all been waiting for? Finally that son of a bitch is dead and maybe some peace will come.
