Even Lord Baelish is aware of the upcoming fight for retaking Winterfell. He arrives at the Vale and convinces the Lord of the Vale that they should send help to Sansa when she attacks Ramsay Bolton.
Lord Baelish’s decisions and actions for helping other people proved that he plays a game on his own. Everything he does has a double meaning. Everything he does is carefully thought and his final goal is not yet achieved.
However, a letter arrives at Castle Black during supper. Jon reads the letter from Lord Bolton. He informs Jon that he holds a very valuable hostage– his brother Rickon. After killing Osha, Ramsey sent this letter to threaten Jon to give Sansa back to him since she is Ramsay’s wife.
Sansa tries to make sense in Jon, telling him they should gather forces and ask allegiance from the houses in the North so that they retake Winterfell and save Rickon. Jon finally agrees with Sansa.
